Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. explore an approach to address the problem of aligning various SEL curricula K-12 and for all three tiers.
  2. use the approach to plan the alignment of tiers 2 and 3 matched to universal curricula at each school level.
  3. learn to use the tools provided to align programming based on desired outcomes, or to address risk factors.
  4. understand what the registers of evidence-based SEL programs can and cannot do.
  5. be able to share the approach and tools with their home SEL planning teams.

Learn how best to combine evidence-based SEL programs into a coherent sequence across all three grade levels and across all three tiers, into a comprehensive SEL programming effort for K–12. Using tools provided to include the strongest SEL curricula, outcomes expected when using these curricula, risk and protective factors, participants will learn to create a wide and deep approach to SEL programming to share with their school or district.
