Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. gain knowledge of the current training, preparation, and participation of school psychologists in the areas of vocational assessment, transition planning, and family–school collaboration;
  2. enhance their training programs to better prepare school psychology candidates in the area of postsecondary transition planning; and
  3. recognize the importance of comprehensive postsecondary transition planning efforts of students with disabilities.

Description

Greater school psychologist involvement in transition planning efforts result in better postsecondary outcomes for students with disabilities. Graduate educators are invited to learn more about enhancing training of candidates.
