This session will help participants…

  1. gain awareness of differences between females and males in the timing of ADHD diagnosis and the factors contributing to later diagnosis in females;
  2. learn about the manifestation and long-term functional impact of ADHD symptoms in adolescent females; and
  3. identify key postsecondary transition supports for adolescent females experiencing ADHD symptoms.

Description

Females are at greater risk of experiencing ADHD symptoms without a diagnosis and treatment. This poster presents factors that may explain this, its functional impact, and recommendations for postsecondary transition.
