Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. understand current self-report data on school psychologists’ attitudes, self-efficacy, and inclusive practices for students who identify as gender diverse;
  2. be informed of the personal factors that predict inclusive professional practices when working with gender-diverse youth;
  3. gain resources about providing supportive and inclusive services for transgender, nonbinary, and other gender-diverse students; and
  4. engage in self-reflection on their attitudes, inclusive practices, and level of self-efficacy for working with this population of students.

Description

This presentation examines school psychologists’ attitudes, inclusive practices, and level of self-efficacy for supporting gender-diverse students. Attendees will learn how positive attitudes and high self-efficacy relate to inclusive actions.
