This session will help participants…

  1. apply a deeper understanding of biological factors associated with developmental dyscalculia into their daily practice;
  2. advocate for academic interventions and support for those with developmental dyscalculia as outlined by the NASP Practice Model;
  3. learn evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students with developmental dyscalculia; and
  4. think critically about how they, as school psychologists, can support teachers with students who have developmental dyscalculia.

Description

In this session, participants will uncover knowledge about developmental dyscalculia and their influential role as a school psychologist. Biological factors, associated interventions and their accessibility will be shared.
