This session will help participants…

  1. understand the limitations of self-report of cognitive abilities;
  2. know how everyday people define intelligence versus IQ; and
  3. know how self-ratings of men and women and different racial/ethnic groups have changed over time.

Description

CHC abilities, executive functions, general mental ability, and IQ were self-rated by adults. Ratings of GMA and IQ were significantly correlated; no gender or racial differences were found.
