This session will help participants…

  1. understand whether YMHFA meets the training expectations and learning needs of teachers, administrators, and other school personnel in rural communities;
  2. alter mental health and crisis response services in ways that are better aligned with the unique cultural and environmental needs of rural communities; and
  3. examine experiences in program evaluation in rural communities including recruitment strategies and barriers.

Description

Examining Youth Mental Health First Aid training in the rural Mountain West. This program evaluation assessed the feasibility, appropriateness, and acceptability of YMHFA according to rural-based school personnel.
