This session will help participants…

  1. synthesize qualitative methodology and trauma-informed approaches to advocate for diversity in school psychology;
  2. apply the use of qualitative methodology to examine themes related to diversity issues in school psychology; and
  3. evaluate current recruitment and retention practices to brainstorm solutions to welcome more Black practitioners in school psychology.

Description

Through the use of trauma-informed qualitative methodology, analyze the experiences of eight Black school psychology graduate students, which provide insights on the supports and barriers to completing their training programs.
