  1. be fluent in prevention efforts to limit the use of restraint and seclusion practices within their school;
  2. understand when restraint and seclusion are necessary in schools, and how to appropriately use them; and
  3. systematically evaluate their restraint and seclusion practices within their school or district to determine if they are equitable.

Description

The average number of students subjected to restraint and seclusion decreased by ensuring that the district is engaged in a safe, legal, and ethical framework for responding to student crises.
