Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. understand the unique factors influencing mental health trends during COVID-19 for adolescents ages 12 to 17;
  2. explore and identify factors related to in-school learning versus remote learning and how these factors relate to mental health trends during COVID-19; and
  3. consider ways to adapt post pandemic mental health and suicide prevention interventions to target the areas impacted by COVID-19.

Description

Helping school psychologists identify factors that decrease suicide rates in adolescents is critical. Explore unique themes from the COVID-19 pandemic and enhance response to adolescent mental health crises.
