This session will help participants…

  1. identify school-related stressors for youth hospitalized for suicide-related thoughts and behaviors;
  2. explore how virtual reality can be leveraged to enhance cognitive–behavioral therapy; and
  3. describe and discuss the ways researchers and practitioners support translation of learned therapeutic skills into school environment.

Description

This session shares perspectives of professionals working across different treatment settings (e.g., inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization) treating youth with suicide-related risk, considering implications for return to school following a crisis.
