This session will help participants…

  1. recognize which stressors are most salient to students at different COVID-related time points and different school socioeconomic characteristics;
  2. better understand the relationships between COVID and early adolescent mental health; and
  3. consider how mental health prevention and intervention services can be tailored to address students’ stressors and socioeconomic contexts.

Description

To best support students’ mental health, practitioners must understand why students experience stress. Learn how 6th grade student-identified stressors vary in relation to COVID-19 and school socioeconomic characteristics.
