Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the Early Identification Screener (EIS) and potential benefits of its use as a social–emotional screener;
  2. gain knowledge regarding effective, low-cost, and quick-to-administer socioemotional screeners;
  3. identify important data to collect in order to identify and intervene on mental-health related needs at an individual and school-wide level; and
  4. identify which important student outcome measures correlate to EIS items or scales for early identification and remediation purposes.

Description

Identifying and matching mental-health needs of students is a major topic within education. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between EIS results and important student outcome data.
