Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the implementation of an undergraduate school internship with a partner school district and leave the presentation with concrete ideas about implementing a similar experience at their own institutions;
  2. explore whether undergraduate school psychology internships improve undergraduates’ knowledge of the field of school psychology and preparation for graduate school; and
  3. discuss the utilization of undergraduate internship experience to attract culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse students into the field of school psychology.

Description

Learn how implementation of an undergraduate internship may help to increase the number of students, including those from minoritized backgrounds, who pursue graduate training and a career in school psychology.
