  1. understand the different classification criteria of several federally funded K–12 intervention clearinghouses;
  2. understand the challenges K–12 social–emotional learning interventions face in reaching “evidence-based" status; and
  3. know how to select appropriate K–12 social–emotional learning interventions with limited peer-reviewed empirical support by evaluating program attributes and qualities.

Description

This presentation compares the classification criteria of several social–emotional learning intervention clearinghouses. Challenges in reaching “evidence-based” status and guidance for selecting appropriate interventions with limited empirical evidence will be described.
