  1. understand the importance and need of cultural adaptations/considerations in social–emotional interventions for students;
  2. learn how one research team approached the process of adapting an evidence-based positive psychology intervention for diverse youth; and
  3. identify resources related to cultural adaptation and considerations in social–emotional interventions.

Description

School psychologists are encouraged to adapt interventions to meet the needs of diverse students. This presentation describes how a research team approached this process and shares students’ perspectives on acceptability.
