Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the frequency and types of digital technology and social media platforms;
  2. identify positive aspects of digital technology and social media for youth;
  3. understand problems students experience on these platforms, including cyberbullying, cyberhate, and addictive use; and
  4. take away resources and strategies to work with youth, schools, and parents regarding digital citizenship, identifying problematic use, and how to intervene.
