Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. participants will gain an understanding of how to effectively implement CICO, such as information on training school staff, planning logistics, selecting mentors, and culturally responsive implementation.
  2. participants will learn ways to adjust CICO during implementation by adapting student goals, facilitating data meetings, and monitoring fidelity of the intervention to ensure student success.  
  3. participants will receive guidance on maintaining improved student behavior and when and how to fade CICO. Attendees will leave with tools to successfully plan, implement, adapt, and maintain CICO within MTSS systems.

Description

Strengthen current check-in/check-out (CICO) practices at each stage of implementation, from planning and monitoring data to fading recommendations that promote and maintain student progress.
