This session will help participants…

  1. gain insights into the Sources of Strength upstream suicide prevention program;
  2. learn effective strategies for implementing evidence-based and peer-led prevention programs in schools; and
  3. anticipate challenges in implementing suicide prevention programming across diverse school contexts, including rural and urban schools with diverse student populations.

Description

This project details implementation of upstream suicide prevention across 12 high schools. Practitioners and scholars should attend to learn more about challenges and opportunities in school-based suicide prevention work.
