This session will help participants…

  1. understand the connection between teacher secondary traumatic stress and optimizing school-wide practices to promote learning (NASP Practice Model Domain 5) and services to promote safe and supportive schools (NASP Practice Model Domain 6);
  2. gain concrete tools for assessing and analyzing secondary traumatic stress levels among teachers at their schools; and
  3. understand information about teacher secondary traumatic stress that participants can use to advocate for practices that improve teacher well-being toward positive student outcomes.
