This session will help participants…

  1. learn to what extent experienced school psychologists are satisfied with their work;
  2. understand among those who are satisfied, what are the principal motivators (i.e., sources of satisfaction) underlying school psychologists’ decision to remain in the field of school psychology; and
  3. discover what implications this has for school districts seeking to support and retain school psychologists long-term.

Description

This poster will share results of a qualitative study on sources of job satisfaction in long-term school psychologists. Discussion will focus on implications for support and retention of school psychologists.
