This session will help participants…

  1. analyze factors that contribute to the bullying dynamic: victim and perpetrator roles, among students with disabilities;
  2. compose strategies for developing systems of detection for bias-based bullying among vulnerable identity groups; and
  3. evaluate existing practices in place to deter bullying and identify collaborative opportunities.

Description

What transpires when students experience bias-based bullying? Using data from a U.S. national, longitudinal sample of adolescents, we will describe the bullying dynamic among students with disabilities and discuss intervention.
