This session will help participants…
- understand a unique conceptualization of emotion dysregulation and related symptoms in LGBTQIA+ adolescents articulated by biosocial and minority stress theories;
- learn adaptations to DBT STEPS-A to provide LGBTQIA+ affirming psychoeducation and skills training to queer and trans students; and
- apply recommendations regarding the application of LGBTQIA+ affirming principles to other evidence-based interventions to promote the mental health of LGBTQIA+ youth in schools.

Learn more about an adapted version of Dialectical Behavior Therapy STEPS-A school curriculum for LGBTQIA+ students and how to make LGBTQ-affirming adaptations to other evidence-based interventions using a guiding framework.
