This session will help participants…

  1. learn the components of a research-based strategy (effective instruction delivery, EID) to improve student compliance;
  2. learn the impact of proximity (one EID component), on levels of student compliance, academic engagement, and disruptive behaviors; and
  3. learn current research and practical recommendations for utilizing the EID procedure in the classroom.

Description

Effective instruction delivery is a Tier 1 teacher-delivered strategy designed to increase prosocial classroom behaviors. This study evaluated the impact of close (3ft) and distant (5+ft) proximity of teacher-delivered instructions.
