Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. identify risk and protective factors that impact teen dating violence and future outcomes for students as outlined in the NASP Practice Model Domains 4 and 6;
  2. describe how the public health approach and knowledge of interpersonal violence fit into the comprehensive role of a school psychologist as outlined in the NASP Practice Model Domains 4, 6, 7, and 10; and
  3. analyze current interventions and strategies being used and apply evidence-based practice in determining what programs or tools will work with their school population (NASP Practice Model Domains 1, 4, 6, and 9).
