Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. understand parent experiences in virtual and in-person Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT);
  2. increase awareness of potential benefits and drawbacks to implementation of virtual and in-person parent training; and
  3. gain recommendations for integration of behavioral parent training in the role of the school psychologist.

Description

Schools can increase accessibility of parent training for children with autism. We will describe caregiver experiences in virtual and face-to-face parent training and provide suggestions for integration into school practice.
