This session will help participants…
- understand best practices in curriculum, instruction, and intervention for those with intellectual disability (ID);
- identify barriers to academic intervention implementation for students with ID; and
- practice adapting an academic intervention using an adaptation guide: GAINS-ID.
Description
Students with intellectual disabilities (ID) could benefit from targeted intervention; however, few ID-specific interventions exist. Practice applying an adaptation guide, grounded in Universal Design for Learning, to an intervention.
