Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. learn a brief overview of restorative justice practices;
  2. learn how to conduct a Tier 1 classroom-wide community circle to enhance student voices and improve emotional and behavioral health needs; and
  3. learn how community circles as classroom management strategies help benefit them throughout the school year.

Description

Community circles, a restorative-based practice, targets building relationships, practicing social skills, and promoting student engagement. This presentation will discuss utilizing student voices to inform the implementation of community circles.
