This session will help participants…
- gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical need to culturally adapt trauma-sensitive education for refugee students in German classrooms, and the implications for fostering resilience and well-being;
- acquire insights into the empirical findings from a qualitative needs analysis, the content and development of the intervention, and the preliminary results of the evaluation study, to inform evidence-based practice and decision-making in supporting refugee students; and
- enhance knowledge and understanding of trauma-sensitive practices in educational settings, with a focus on cross-cultural adaptation, to promote inclusive and supportive class climates that embrace cultural diversity.

Culturally adapting trauma-sensitive education for refugee students in inclusive classrooms in Germany, drawing on U.S. practices, to foster resilience and well-being and promote cross-cultural understanding and effective support.
