This session will help participants…
- identify the implications of the study findings for school psychologists and educators, and how to best support the implementation of evidence-based SEL curricula;
- analyze factors impacting the implementation and outcomes of an elementary SEL/suicide prevention program implemented during COVID-19; and
- understand strategies for overcoming challenges to achieve the intended benefits of SEL programming based on findings from this pilot evaluation.
Description
The session presents the evaluation of "Sources of Strength - Elementary," an upstream suicide prevention program. Significant associations were found between program exposure and enhanced resilience, well-being, and social–emotional outcomes.
