Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. know how to support NASP standard of mental and behavioral health intervention by critically examining mental health research and intervention programs for the well-being of students and young adults;
  2. understand how to collaborate with schools and clinical agencies in the implementation of SEL and mindfulness-based practices;
  3. know how to promote equity and social justice for those needing mental health supports; and
  4. know how to bridge research to practice to aid learning outcomes in K–12 schools and clinical settings.

Description

Mental health and emotional well-being are priorities in schools. This project examines results of a study implementing social and emotional learning and mindfulness-based practices in school-age children and young adults.
