This session will help participants…

  1. become familiar with the literature on barriers and motivators for Latinx caregiver engagement in schools;
  2. learn about culturally responsive ways to engage Latinx caregivers in a positive psychology intervention in the schools; and
  3. better understand best practices about different modes of communication methods with Latinx caregivers.

Description

Attendees will learn about caregiver involvement in a school-based positive psychology intervention, and how to engage Latinx caregivers in student mental health interventions by practicing cultural and linguistic communication practices.
