This session will help participants…
- explain the four crucial Cs to teachers to enhance their understanding of the children in their classroom;
- identify the four crucial Cs as outlined by Lew and Bettner (1996);
- discuss the basic aspects of each of the four crucial Cs;
- describe two play therapy based techniques to assess a child's mastery of each of the crucial Cs; and
- identify three play therapy based techniques to help move each crucial C from an area of weakness to one of strength.
Description
The crucial Cs, four attitudes that promote healthy emotional development in children, include connecting, feeling capable, being courageous, and counting. Come learn to playfully foster mastery of each crucial C.
