Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. appreciate the importance of student voice in PBIS planning, implementation, and evaluation;
  2. identify and select research-validated tools for obtaining student voice;
  3. explain the research to date on student preferences, experiences, and perceptions of PBIS practices in middle and high schools; and
  4. use student-centered surveys to obtain student voice and engage students in data analysis and action planning.

Description

Student voice is a core component of culturally responsive PBIS. This session offers practical, research-based tools to mobilize student-centered data, empower students in implementation, and attain more equitable outcomes.
