This session will help participants…

  1. evaluate the current literature and research on diverse supervisee experiences within psychology supervision, identifying gaps and future directions for supervisors to enhance support and professional development for supervisees from marginalized backgrounds;
  2. recognize the unique challenges and barriers faced by supervisees from diverse racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, and disability backgrounds within the supervisory process; and
  3. analyze the impact of inclusive and culturally responsive supervision practices on the professional development and outcomes of supervisees with diverse identities.

Description

This study explored current research on the experiences and perceptions of supervisees with diverse identities, shedding light on enhancing inclusive and impactful supervision practices within the field of psychology.
