Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. recognize and tolerate discomfort in themselves and colleagues when confronting bias related to discipline and other inequitable practices;
  2. see the connections between historical racism and inequitable racially disparate school discipline practices; and
  3. learn strategies for managing stressors and acquire techniques for navigating difficult conversations with colleagues and administrators around race.
