This session will help participants…

  1. understand how bias can influence teacher ratings of student disruptive behavior,
  2. learn about common stereotypes of students’ disruptive behavior for boys and girls, and
  3. learn about specific behavioral indicators on teacher behavior rating scales that may evoke teacher bias across students’ sex assigned at birth.

Description

This presentation will explore evidence of bias on teacher ratings of students’ disruptive behavior across sex assigned at birth for a sample of 240 children in second through fifth grades.
