This session will help participants…

  1. understand the development and validation of the CRISS-S and its potential use in school settings;
  2. conceptualize of the relationship between culturally responsive teaching practices and the positive academic and social–emotional outcomes for students; and
  3. discuss the culturally competent practices that can aid in student development and learning that are congruent with the practice model of NASP.

Description

The current state of measuring of culturally responsive teaching practices is missing a key piece: students’ voices. Learn about the development and validation of a novel student-report measure.
