This session will help participants…

  1. understand the importance of meeting diverse student needs through SEL;
  2. learn about three SEL approaches that intentionally support students with diverse abilities and identities; and
  3. identify specific strategies can be used to increase equitable access to the benefits of SEL.

Description

This poster reviews four school-based social–emotional learning (SEL) approaches designed for diverse students. Presenters critique current approaches and provide suggestions for future implementation of SEL to increase equity.
