  1. understand broadly the current research regarding suicide risk and protective factors among rural youth, per the NASP Practice Model, Domain 9;
  2. identify key challenges and potential sources of resilience among high-risk rural populations, including Native American and low-SES youth, per the NASP Practice Model, Domain 8; and
  3. identify key areas in need of more research, policy change, and school psychology practice, per the NASP Practice Model, Domains 1, 6, and 7.

Description

Examining rural youth suicide, this poster presentation explores risk and protective factors, identifies research gaps, and encourages dialogue on solutions for overlooked populations.
