- describe the critical SP shortages in rural communities and the specific needs of rural practitioners;
- summarize strategies for recruiting, supporting, and retaining traditionally underrepresented learners from rural communities;
- identify elements of SP training programs to adapt for hybrid delivery; and
- describe how to develop and implement a culturally sustaining pedagogy by recruiting, training, and retaining rural community members as school psychologists.

What does it mean to be a rural school psychologist? To provide rural school psychology (SP) training? Learn about curricular and program modifications for engaging traditionally underrepresented, rural trainees in hybrid programs.
