Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. assess their signs and symptoms of burnout, secondary traumatic stress, or other mental health crisis and ways they are affected;
  2. analyze their personal barriers to seeking social, emotional, and occupational supports that help promote their healing and recovery from a mental health crisis; and
  3. design a personalized crisis support plan that navigates personal barriers to support-seeking behaviors and includes at least three self-selected self-help strategies to promote healing and recovery from a mental health crisis.

Description

Who supports school psychologists during their own mental health crisis? Presenters of this session will guide participants through assessing symptoms, addressing barriers, and designing their own personalized crisis support plan.
