Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. develop skills to collaborate with other education professionals (i.e., teachers) to optimize student outcomes;
  2. advocate and disseminate knowledge about the field of school psychology to the school community; and
  3. implement feedback from teachers in order to increase meaningful consultation in their respective school boards.

Description

Research shows teachers want increased consultation with school psychologists but lack adequate knowledge. This project explores teachers' knowledge, expectations and recommendations for school psychologists, to ensure and promote effective consultations.
