This session will help participants…

  1. learn about the effective aspects of school-based interventions that target social anxiety disorders, as outlined by Systems-Level Services Domain 4 of the NASP Practice Model;
  2. learn how to aid teachers in supporting students in their classroom with social anxiety disorders; and
  3. learn how to collaborate and consult with teachers, students, and parents in understanding the development of social anxiety disorders and parents' roles in the maintenance of social anxiety disorders, as outlined by Systems-Level Services Domain 7 of the NASP Practice Model.

Description

This literature review describes effective school-based interventions for adolescents with social anxiety disorder, why features of these interventions are useful for long-term, and how to implement them.
