  1. become familiar with the demographics, educational experiences, and educational outcomes of the foster youth population in the United States;
  2. understand the unique educational and psychological challenges and needs of foster youth in K–12 settings in the United States; and
  3. tailor assessment, consultation, and intervention practices to reduce educational disparities for foster youth in their schools.

Description

Many foster students experience high levels of trauma and school mobility, and struggle academically and socially. Learn how to implement evidence-based practices to serve the unique needs of systems-impacted youth.
