This session will help participants…

  1. learn best practice considerations for conducting behavioral threat assessments at school;
  2. examine data comparing schools that were trained to utilize comprehensive threat assessment plans and their correlation with student perceptions of school climate; and
  3. evaluate how gender, racial/ethnic identity, and disability status influence student perceptions of school climate on behavioral threat assessment.

Description

This session present results from a study examining if student perceptions of school climate and safety are impacted by the use of threat assessments in middle and high schools.
