Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. understand the need for improving coordinated service delivery systems of school and community mental health delivery to specifically meet the needs of high school students with disabilities;
  2. identify associations between school climate perceptions and mental health for students with disabilities;
  3. develop skills and strategies to support mental health promotion and school climate prevention for students with disabilities in high school settings; and
  4. describe intersectional approaches for addressing school climate and mental health risk in students with disabilities.

Description

Examining associations between school climate perceptions and mental health outcomes for high school students with disabilities. Intersectional approaches for school climate prevention will be discussed.
