Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. apply study findings to facilitate and advocate for trauma-informed care trainings in early childhood education settings;
  2. describe how a trauma-informed approach in education fits into the NASP Practice Model, specifically domains 4 and 6; and
  3. identify how they can support early childhood education teachers as they implement trauma-informed care strategies in their classrooms.

Description

The need for high quality trauma-informed care training and implementation in early childhood settings is critical. Early childhood educator’s experiences with such training will be discussed according to study findings.
