This session will help participants…

  1. increase understanding of school psychologist roles and functions in supporting school-based mental health.
  2. explore how interdisciplinary collaboration can be better utilized to enhance systems, teaming practices, and positive student outcomes.
  3. work together to understand how best to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration in support of school-based mental health.
  4. better understand other helping professional roles in school-based teaming and where there is overlap and opportunity for effective collaboration and layered support.

Description

This practitioner conversation engages participants in discussion of the school psychologist’s role and function in addressing school-based mental health through interdisciplinary collaboration. A model of interdisciplinary preservice training will be shared.
