Learner Objectives

This session will help participants…

  1. assess military students' complex mental health and social–emotional needs, which aligns with Domain 4: Mental/Behavioral Health Services and Interventions;
  2. implement practices that promote military students’ well-being through CBT and SEL practices; and
  3. describe and explain the vital role of parental involvement, outlined by NASP Domain 7: Family, School, and Community Collaboration.

Description

Deployment initiates a ripple effect impacting military students’ social–emotional well-being. Discover CBT evidence-based interventions and practices within this session. Practitioners will learn how to support military children with evidence-based practices.
